Campeggio Michelangelo (affiliated Endas) is located in the Upper Tiber Valley, at the foot of Alpe di Catenaia (1415 m.), in the town of Caprese Michelangelo. The town, rich in medieval history, is known worldwide as the town where Michelangelo Buonarroti was born in 1475. One can admire the ruins of the castle and the outdoor museum as well as the house where the artist was born and church where he was baptised.

People who love the campground are passionate about nature and love to get together not only to walk down the paths of the woods but also down the paths of history, art and religion and who enjoy reaching a lake, a stream, a mountain, with no other aim than living in an uncontaminated environment, admiring the suggestive landscapes the area offers.
The campground is one of a kind in the sense that the sites have been made respecting the woods and natural habitat. It is appreciated for its natural environment and its tranquility, where it is possible to rest and enjoy the countryside, taking walks and bike rides.

We are in the Upper Tiber Valley near Sansepolcro where Piero della Francesca was born, Monterchi, where his fresco “Madonna del Parto” can be admired, and Anghiari, nominated one of the one hundred most beautiful medieval towns in Italy and famous for the “Battiglia di Anghiari” by Leonardo da Vinci. |
